PHOTOGRAPHS THAT FEEL LIKE THE TWO OF YOU.

Relaxed engagement and couples photography shaped by real movement, thoughtful direction and the places that matter to you.

A REAL YES.A WASHINGTON STORY.

COME AS YOU ARE. THE STORY STARTS THERE.

An engagement session is not a test of how photogenic you are. It is time to slow down, move together and make photographs that still feel recognizable years from now.

I’m Illia Bitkov, a Washington-based photographer. I give clear direction when it helps, then leave space for the reactions and small gestures that cannot be staged. The result is composed and editorial without losing the way you actually connect.

This can be a proposal, an engagement, an anniversary or simply a chapter you want to keep. The date and location do not need to be decided before you reach out.

CLOSE ENOUGH TO FEEL IT02 / 05

A LITTLE DIRECTION. ROOM FOR SOMETHING REAL.

01

BEGIN WITH MOVEMENT

Walking, turning or settling into an embrace gives the moment a natural beginning and takes the pressure off your hands and expression.

02

FOLLOW YOUR RHYTHM

I pay attention to how you stand together, who reaches first and what makes you laugh. Direction adapts to you instead of asking you to copy another couple.

03

REFINE THE FRAME

Light, distance and composition are adjusted deliberately, while the connection inside the photograph stays honest and unforced.

START WITH HOW YOU WANT IT TO FEEL.

Before choosing a backdrop, decide what sounds most like you: quiet and close, playful and energetic, polished and architectural, or open and cinematic. That feeling gives the location, clothing and pace a clear direction.

  • PLACESeattle streets, a familiar neighborhood, open shoreline or a Washington landscape can each tell a different version of the story.
  • LIGHTTiming is chosen around the atmosphere you want and what the location allows—not a formula applied to every session.
  • STYLEWear something that feels intentional but still lets you walk, sit, hold each other and forget about the camera.
  • PACEWe begin simply, build comfort and leave room for the unscripted moments between the photographs you expected.

NOT ONLY FOR A SAVE-THE-DATE.

01

PROPOSALS

A thoughtfully planned setting with enough preparation for the moment to unfold naturally.

02

ENGAGEMENTS

Time together before the wedding, with photographs built around your connection rather than a list of poses.

03

ANNIVERSARIES

A reason to mark where you are now, without needing a larger event around it.

04

JUST BECAUSE

A couples session can simply be a personal record of a season that matters to both of you.

WHAT COUPLES ASK FIRST.

What if we feel awkward in front of the camera?

You do not need to know how to pose. I begin with simple direction and movement, then photograph the natural reactions that follow. If there is something you usually dislike in photographs, tell me before we begin.

Can the session include a proposal?

Yes. Share what you are planning in your inquiry so we can discuss timing, setting and how discreet the photography should be before the moment happens.

Where can we take engagement photos?

Sessions can be planned in Seattle or elsewhere in Washington. We will consider the atmosphere you want, practical access and travel before choosing the location.

Do we need a date and location before we inquire?

No. Both fields are optional in the inquiry form. Start with what you know, and we can decide the rest during planning.

What should we wear?

Choose clothing that feels like you and allows you to move comfortably. Coordinated tones and textures usually feel more natural than identical outfits. The setting and weather should also guide the final choice.

YOU BRING THE CONNECTION. I’LL SHAPE THE FRAME.

Tell me what you want the photographs to feel like. You can inquire before the date or location is decided.
